One week in Sardinia packed full of climbing
Climb on our best seaside crags with an IFMGA Mountain Guide and a colourful group of friends
Join us for an unforgettable week-long climbing camp in Sardinia! Arrive on Sunday, settle in, and spend the week immersed in the island’s breathtaking landscapes, departing the following Sunday.
This camp is all about maximizing your climbing experience. We’ll guide you to the best crags, surrounded by great company and the island’s mouthwatering cuisine. From delicate vertical slabs to striking overhanging red tufas, you’ll tackle pristine, unspoiled limestone crags that make Sardinia a world-renowned climbing paradise.
Why Cala Gonone?
Our base camp is in Cala Gonone, a charming seaside town encircled by a wealth of limestone crags. With 54 climbing sectors and over 1,200 sport-climbing routes in the area, Cala Gonone has earned its place as one of Europe’s premier climbing destinations.
Each day, we’ll handpick the best climbing spots based on the group’s skills and the weather, ensuring an experience tailored just for you. Famous sectors like Biddiriscottai, Fuili, Millennium, La Poltrona and Buchi Arta are all within a short 2-mile radius of town. With a flexible schedule, we’ll decide the perfect crag to visit each day, so you can enjoy Sardinia’s unique climbing gems to the fullest.

Climbing Experience
Our Mountain Guide will evaluate each participant’s skills on the first day and then assist everyone in improving and making the most of their rock climbing experience.
If you’ve never climbed outdoors, this is a great opportunity to try it with a professional and a group of like-minded people. The guide will look after the group and teach all essential skills, such as belaying and leading, to help you make the most of your week of climbing.
If you’re familiar with belaying, you’ll be able to skip some of the basics and focus more on climbing. We recommend learning how to belay and thread a closed-ring lower-off before attending the camp.

How much do we climb?
On this week-long climbing camp, you can climb for up to 6 days. We have an easy day scheduled on Wednesday, but for the rest, it is climbing as much as you can for the whole week.
Your climbing day may last up to 8 hours. Our guide will suggest a plan, according to the group’s preferences and choose whether to start early morning or soon after lunch.
If the weather gets too hot, the guide may decide to meet as early as 7 am and climb on a shady crag until the sun hits it at about 1 pm.
Alternatively, it is possible to take the morning off and climb in the afternoon. In this case, you’d meet the guide at 2 pm, and reach the crag as the shade arrives, climbing until sunset (8 pm approx)
How many people can participate?
Our 6 days climbing camp is suited for small groups of 8 PEOPLE MAX
The minimum number of participants is 4. Anyhow, we are happy to organize it for a smaller group if all participants are happy to pay a slightly higher price.
Bad weather
In case of light rain, there is a crag in Cala Gonone with a huge overhang that keeps a wall dry.
But if the weather is really bad, our guide will try to find an alternative destination. Sometimes it rains in Cala Gonone while it’s sunny in Baunei…
The cost of transferring to a new location is not included and should be shared by those who want to move there.
Insurance
All our Mountain Guides are IFMGA qualified and hold a full professional insurance. This will only cover all accidents that are caused directly by the guide.
If, for example, someone sprains their ankle while walking to the crag, it is best to have a personal insurance to cover eventual medical costs.
In addition, a good travel insurance policy would pay back if your flight is cancelled, or you have to cancel your holiday at the last minute.
A simple online search would reveal many companies that offer good Travel Insurances for Climbing Holidays.
Cancellation
In the unfortunate case that you have to cancel your booking, we may keep part of it as a voucher that you may re-use for a future booking within the same year. This is subject to availability, and if we would not able to accommodate your trip in the same year, the voucher will be automatically extended to the next year.
CANCELLATION REFUNDS
Over 2 months of notice: we refund 100% of what you paid
Over 21 days of notice: we will refund 80% of what you paid
Less than 21 days of notice: no refund
CANCELLATION BY CLIMBING SARDINIA
In the unlikely event that we may be forced to cancel a tour, we will refund 100% of what you paid.
Although cancellations from our side are rare, we advise all participants to always purchase insurance on flight tickets. This would guarantee no losses on your side.
