Admin & Operations Assistant

Climbing Sardinia is a small, passionate team running climbing camps, guided climbing trips, via ferrata, canyoning, hiking, and multi-day adventures all over Sardinia. We’re looking for someone to join us and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be our go-to person for everything admin and digital presence:

  • Replying to emails from our clients in English and Italian
  • Managing bookings, participant info, and tour logistics
  • Capturing and editing photos of our activities to showcase our adventures
  • Managing and updating our social media profiles with engaging content
  • Updating the website (it is user-friendly, and we provide full training)
  • Coordinating between clients, guides, and suppliers
  • Keeping spreadsheets and Google Drive tidy and organised

If you’re keen, there’s also the option to join us in the field on our tours, helping guides, driving clients, and getting hands-on with our activities.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll fit in perfectly if you:

  • Speak Italian and English fluently
  • Are an active climber who knows your way around climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, and mountain hiking
  • Have a creative eye for photography and basic photo editing skills
  • Are comfortable using social media and interested in maintaining a website
  • Are organised, reliable, and comfortable with Excel and Google Drive
  • Have a friendly, professional way of communicating
  • Have, or are willing to open, a Partita IVA (Italy) or solo trader (UK)

When & Where

  • November to March:
Part-time, around 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, with plenty of flexibility. During this period, the role can be carried out remotely from anywhere.
  • April to October:
Full-time. During the main season, it is necessary to be based in the Cala Gonone area, in order to support the rest of the team with additional on-site tasks alongside the administrative work.

Contract & Registration

The role is offered as a freelance collaboration. Applicants must be able to invoice for their work and have one of the following:

  • an Italian Partita IVA
  • registration as a UK sole trader
  • registration as an international sole trader / freelancer (according to their country’s regulations)

Training

Don’t worry if you’re new to our system—we’ll give you full training on our itineraries, procedures, website management, and booking tools.

Salary

The base annual compensation starts at €16,000 per year, with the possibility of increasing up to €21,000, depending on experience, responsibilities, and level of involvement during the season.
